About us
Meetings are
worth remembering
Plaudipus listens to your meeting and writes it up properly — the decisions that were made, who agreed to do what, and the moment each one was said.
Why we built it
Most meeting notes are written by whoever was least busy, halfway through the meeting, on a laptop. The important part — the sentence where someone actually committed to something — is usually the part that doesn't make it into the file.
The tools that solve this were mostly built for meetings conducted entirely in English. That is not how meetings sound here. A single sentence in a Jakarta boardroom might start in Bahasa Indonesia, carry three English technical terms, and end with a number nobody wrote down. Transcription tools trained on clean English audio tend to produce something unusable from that, and summarisers built on top of them inherit the damage.
Plaudipus was built for that meeting specifically. It handles Bahasa Indonesia, English, and the two mixed freely in the same breath — and it writes the summary in English regardless of what was spoken, so the notes are readable by everyone who needs them, including people who weren't in the room.
What it actually does
You record a meeting in the browser or upload audio you already have. From there:
- Transcription with timestamps, so every claim in the summary is traceable back to the moment it was said.
- Minutes covering the overview, key points, decisions, open questions, and locations mentioned — kept short on purpose. A summary nobody reads is not a summary.
- Action items with an owner and a timestamp, collected across every meeting into one dashboard.
- Your own calendar, connected, so scheduled meetings show up alongside your recordings and fill in the details when you record one.
- Speaker separation when you choose it for a meeting, so the transcript says who spoke, and you can name them once and have it stick.
- Business cards into contacts — photograph a card, check what was read, and save it to your phone as a .vcf. Contacts link back to the people who spoke in your meetings.
- Export and sharing as clean text or PDF, with meeting details you can correct by hand — names get mispronounced, and you should be able to fix them.
How we think about your recordings
A meeting recording is one of the more sensitive things a business will hand to a piece of software. Salaries, strategy, disagreements, and things said before anyone decided how to phrase them properly all end up in the file.
So the rules are simple. Your recordings belong to you. We don't use them to train anything. We don't show them to anyone outside your account. Audio is deleted 7 days after upload, and you can delete any meeting yourself at any time. The full detail — including the third-party services that process audio on our behalf — is in the Privacy Policy, written to be read rather than skimmed past.
Where we are
Plaudipus is built and operated from Jakarta, Indonesia. It's a small operation, which mostly means that when you email us, you're emailing someone who can actually change the product. If something doesn't work the way it should, telling us is genuinely useful.
The platform is currently in private beta and we're onboarding from a waitlist.
